What are we doing about COVID-19?

We are putting our people first.

First and foremost, Pappas Restaurants is putting our people first, both their employment and their safety. We are excited and cautiously optimistic as our community starts to open for business. We are working vigorously to bring back our team members and provide excellent food to our guests, all in a safe environment. To do it right, it will take time.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a shock to our lives, and we at Pappas Restaurants want you to know that we are putting our people, our guests and our communities first. 

We will continue to remain agile and assess the situation. Thank you to all of our guests who have continued to dine with us, and a very big thank you to all of our employees who are working incredibly hard during a very difficult time. 

We have changed many of the ways we do business due to COVID-19. We will require our team and guest to follow our plan.

Our Promise to You

  • All staff must pass a health check prior to each shift.

  • All indoor and outdoor seating will comply with current social distancing guidelines.

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available upon entry and exit.

  • Common areas, tables, chairs and menus will be cleaned and sanitized after every use.

Your Promise to Us

You agree to follow the Minimum Standard Health Protocols for Restaurant Customers adopted by the state by:

  • Following the face covering, social distancing, and sanitary guidelines, where required, that have been put in place to protect all of our guests and employees.

  • Self-screening before entering the restaurant for any signs of COVID-19 including a fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, and known close contact with someone who has COVID19.

  • Using our contactless delivery options if you cannot enter the restaurant or are otherwise concerned about dining in our restaurant.

    If you have any questions or concerns, please ask for a manager who will be happy to assist you.

Our Team

 

Our Pappas team members’ health and safety are an absolute priority at this time, and we are committed to their care. 

  • First and foremost, the health and well being of team members as well as our guests remain top of mind and our highest priority.

  • We are continually checking in and communicating with our team members.

  • We are reminding and re-enforcing proper sanitation practices to keep our team members and our guests healthy.

  • We are requiring all staff pass a health check prior to each shift.

  • We are requiring team members who show signs of illness to stay home.

  • We are working to accommodate our team members' scheduling needs. 

  • We are requiring all employees to wear masks.

  • We are requiring employees to review a COVID-19 questionnaire when they clock in (experiencing symptoms, fever, etc).

  • We are educating on social distancing in the workplace.

Sanitation

 

We take great pride in our clean and well-run restaurants, and this is now more important than ever. In addition to our daily cleaning procedures, we have increased our already-strict routines significantly. We have reviewed all our sanitation procedures and have updated them accordingly. Below are just a few of the measures we will be taking to ensure employee and guest safety:

  • Adding extra requirements and increased frequency for deep cleaning

  • Sanitizing all high touchpoints routinely

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available upon entry and exit

  • All indoor and outdoor seating will comply with current social distancing guidelines

  • Common areas, tables, chairs and menus will be cleaned and sanitized after every use

  • Replacing all our straws with paper-covered straws 

  • Removing tables to increase distance between in-store guests

  • Discouraging person-to-person contact by encouraging guests to order and pay online

We are following the CDC closely and taking their guidance on all relevant issues. Currently, they recommend regular sanitizing and hand washing as one of the most important preventative measures. As the CDC updates their recommendations, we will change our processes quickly.
